Public Relations for Nonprofit Organizations
CLASS SESSION: Monday, May 08, 2017-Thursday, June 22, 2017
Open to all SJMC majors and minors 600A, 601A, 610A, 620A, 630A, 650A, 660A, m600, m610, m615, m620, m630, m650. Must be enrolled in one of the following Fields of Study (Major, Minor, or Concentration): Advertising, Advertising and Public Relations, Broadcast Journalism, Electronic Journalism, Journalism, Mass Communications, Print Journalism, Public Relations, Visual Communications.
Course Delivery Type: Web: A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc.
Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.
(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).

Undergraduate Bulletin Course Description: Theory and practice of developing public relations strategies and messaging for nonprofit organizations with a focus on audience research, donor relations, membership recruitment and fund raising.
